This week and beyond...

Good Evening,

I hope that this beautiful fall evening finds you well.  I first off want to let you know that my church email address has changed from what it was previously.  My new email is mballentine@walnutstreetumc.com so please take a moment to update your address book.  

There are also a few events/ activities that are coming up that I wanted to remind you of.  

1.  This coming Saturday we will be headed to Kings Island @ 2pm.  I need to know by Tuesday if you are planning to go.  At this point I have had only a few RSVP's at this point so please take a moment to do that.  Once again the cost for the event will be $40 and includes travel and entrance into Kings Island.  We will stop on the way down at fast food to avoid paying the high food prices in the park.  Please bring extra money for any food purchases you plan to make.  We will leave Kings Island at 1am and return to the church between 3 & 4am.  Obviously, we will then spend the night in the church and be bright eyed for Sunday worship.  

2.  Next Sunday instead of having youth group at the regular time, I am thinking that we will make it a work day for our new building.  Since many will be getting home late, I thought we could head over to the building directly after the 9:30 service (approximately 11) and not have Sunday School since most sleep through it anyway after King's Island.  What we would do is the paint the downstairs portion of the building so that we can get everything moved in.  Depending on the number who attend, we will most likely have this done by 12:30-1pm at the latest.  If you are able to help, please bring painting clothes to church so you can change.  Before we leave for the day, we will provide lunch of some kind.  

3.   On October 27th, we will have youth group as planned.  I would like to have a meeting while we eat (6-6:30pm) with any parents who would like more information about the 30-Hour Famine that will be coming up in November on the 8-9th.  I will be handing out informational packets as well as going through the basic schedule for the weekend.  Any parents who would be willing to volunteer for all or part of the weekend, your participation would be appreciated.  

4.  As I mentioned at the Schmitt's I have put together a quick survey about our Bible Study.  If you could take a moment to complete this, I would appreciate it.  Please click on the link and answer the few short questions I have put together.
