I wanted to update everyone on what we will be doing this Saturday. Instead of working directly with City of Hope, we will be working with Velma Kell to prepare the Community Garden for planting this season. For those who don't know this garden helps bring together our local neighborhoods as well as give some fresh vegetables to those who need it most. We will meet at 10:30 am at the church with any rakes, shovels, gloves and any other gardening tools you may have. If you can't be there until later, let me know and I will get you directions. Please plan to be with us until about 1:30pm and I will provide lunch.
Then on Sunday, we have the Family Farm day out at the Guffey's house from 12:30-4:00 pm. Please plan to go, it should be really fun with the stream walks, nature scavenger hunts, and much more…oh yeah lunch also!
Since we have these two things planned for the weekend, we will not have youth group on Sunday.
