I wanted to give you an update on a few things that we have coming up in the near future. Please let me know if you are able to help with any of these items:
1. March 25th, the Snack and Learn program is hosting an Easter Egg hunt at Lincoln Park and they are in need of our help. This event will start at 4:15 but there will be help needed from 3:30 on. It will most likely run until about 5:30. We will help with hiding eggs, assisting kids find eggs and just being positive role models to the young children.
2. March 31st is Easter Sunday and we are again providing the Easter Sunrise Service. We are in need of people who would be willing to read scripture, usher and possibly participate in a short skit. Let me know if you have any interest in helping with these tasks. We will need to be at the church by 6am Easter Morning in order to be prepared. We will also have a rehearsal on March 30th from 9-10:30am for those who are participating.
3. The 30 Hour Famine was originally scheduled for April 26-27th but it has come to my attention that this is Chillicothe Prom weekend. We are going to reschedule it for May 3-4th. I know this is not ideal but it is the only time that works for the church schedule. Please let me know if this is really not a good date.
4. Lastly, some of you have approached me about June 5th-9th not being a good time for the mission trip. I wanted to put a "feeler" out to see who this is NOT good for. Also I would like to know if you are planning to attend so that I can get a good idea as to how many we will have going. This way, I can plan appropriately for lodging and projects. Please respond to this me at youth@walnutstreetumc.com as to whether or not June 5-9th works for you.
