I am sure as I am typing this, many of you are gearing up for a busy weekend. As we enter into the weekend, I just wanted to remind everyone of a couple of things….
For the next two Sunday's we will be having youth a little earlier for all youth. Youth group will be from 4-6:30pm and we will be going door to door handing out paper bags for our "Trick or Treat" so kids can eat. This year we will be canvassing the Hesswood hills area of town. This will be the schedule for October 21st and 28th. On the 28th, you can wear a costume as long as it doesn't involve a mask or face paint. While I know it is appropriate for halloween day, I don't want to scare/ make people nervous on a day that is not traditional trick or treating day.
On November 4th, youth group will be as normal.
November 11th, we will be hosting the older people of our church for lunch after the 11:00am service. Please plan to stay after church until approximately 3:30 pm to help cook, serve and clean up the dinner. We will provide lunch for all who stay to help. Also, the Thursday before, November 8th we will be meeting to help cook some of the food, if you are able to help let Matt know.
Lastly, MARK YOUR calendars for December 1st! We are having our first fundraiser for our summer 2013 mission trip. We will be hosting babysitting at the church from 8am-5pm for a fee. All proceeds will go towards our summer 2013 mission trip. The cost will be $6 for their first child, $8 for two children and $10 for 3 or more children. Please make sure to let those families who you think might be interested know so we can raise as many funds as possible.
